Composite Pressure Vessel

      Hi,

I am working on composite pressure vessel analysis. Can anyone help me in plotting stress ( Max. principle stress or Normal Stress X- direction) vs Axial distance (along length of the cylinder) graph. I have attached a pic for your understanding. Suggest all possible methods to plot it.
Note: I have constructed the composite material part (composite winding) in ACP and transferred it to static structural module as solid composite data.
      Thanks

      Hi,

You can use 'Chart' to plot the stress variation along the axial distance:

      Hi,
You can also construct a path using the edge, and then the scope to the max. principal stress to that path.

      Refer link: Path

      Thanks,

      Hi,

Can anyone give me suggestion/ solution for the following issue, i am facing while running a static analysis of a composite pressure vessel.

I am getting significantly higher stresses at the bottom region of the bottom ply only. The neighboring elements have stress magnitude comparatively lower than this strip of elements. I have attached the images for your understanding.

      Thanks

I checked by refining the mesh in the thickness direction of each ply. Still it is not resolving. I have attached the stress contour of the bottom ply only. need someone to suggest how can I deal with this and resolve this problem.

      Thanks
