Compatibility issues between ANSYS software on Linux and Windows systems

I performed Fluent calculations using Workbench 2024R1 on a Linux system, and opening Results for CFD-POST worked normally. At the same time, I ran calculations on another computer with the same software version on a Windows system, and post-processing also worked fine. However, when I transferred the simulation files from Linux to the Windows system, opening the post-processing became extremely laggy, and exporting charts and animations also became unusually slow—what originally took 3 hours to export now didn’t complete even after 3 days. I would like to ask how to resolve this type of issue. Could it be due to incompatibility between the two systems’ software, or did the software automatically change settings after switching systems, causing the abnormal post-processing behavior?

What did you transfer? I assume you just copied the Case/Data/cdat (Fluent) and the rst/cse (CFD-Post) files from Linux to Windows. If you work by hand in Post is it still laggy? Or is it only when you run the cse file? Also you need to keep in mind the RAM of both systems. How close to the limit are you on your Windows machine?

To add, if you're using a script check where it's looking for files. You won't be the first person to move a script that's retained the full path and are then moving large amounts of data over the network by accident.
