SubscriberI can't find the icon/tool in workbench to use a comand block in Ansys Mechanical 2023 R1. Â Can someone point me to where it is or training I can look at. Â I'm new to using command blocks, but it appears that it is the only way to add initial stress to a material.

Hi
This search shows videos that will insert Commands (APDL) into mechanical:
See this seacrh for more info on the inistate comand (used for prestress):
As for commands in general it is good to learn the MAPDL langauge (this can be used in mechanical via the Commands (APDL) ):

All the best

SubscriberSo I've watched that video and it has a button on workbench to insert the command block. Â My 2023 Ansys Mech R1 doesn't have that button. Â Where is that located or how to I locate it.

Ansys EmployeeHi
On the top right of the user interface inside mechanical there is a search box called : Quick launch.
There type, Command, and it will to take you to the correct place (very useful search with quick launch).
