Cohesive Zone Model Delamination Solution Results

Hi there, I am conducting a CZM study in ANSYS static structural of a carbon fibre component generated in ACP (Pre).

I have applied cantilever style boundary conditions (fixed support on one end, downwards foce acting on top face) and can get a solution for deformation for example.

However, I want to know whether delamination has occured. I am aware in older versions of ansys the damage parameter can show if delamination has occured, however how can ansys 19.1 tell me if the component begins to delaminate?

Please see photos attached for boundary conditions and the setup.

      Thanks in advance.

Employees of ANSYS are not permitted to download attachments. If you want their help, you need to use the Insert Image button to put the image in the post directly like this:

Your images are 2552 pixels wide. The images above get scaled to 690 pixels wide, which makes very wide images too small to read. In the future, please take screen snapshots of your model that are not much wider than 690 pixels.

First open ANSYS Help by clicking on Help > ANSYS Workbench Help, then paste in the url above into the address bar.

Here is more technical information about CZM.

      Hi.

I am doing 3D CZM analyses. I am using contact debonding. The available CZM model employs Mode 1,2 and the mix mode for the analyses and considers the isotropic material behaviour. However, I have an orthotropic material in the contact and I want to define the mode 3 criteria as well. I want to know is there any option in CZM to define mode 3 fracture energy criterion?

I would appreciate it if you could help me.
