November 20, 2020 at 2:04 amAniket_KSubscriberI am able to run the pre-processor with reaction mechanism, but at the mechanism reduction step getting the following, Error: there are failed run(s) in the CHEMKIN project using master mechanism.nIs there something that I am doing wrong? Getting same error at times for sample examples. nAny help would be highly appreciated. n

November 20, 2020 at 8:15 pmjcooperAnsys EmployeeHi Aniket: nWere you able to complete your run with the master mechanism? This is a requirement for reduction, as the reduction will look to target certain results obtained with the master mechanism, ie: temperature maximum or temperature endpoint, and the endpoint or maxima for certain species. Note that targets with maximum and endpoint are currently not allowed and will cause the simulation to fail.nn

November 20, 2020 at 8:31 pmAniket_KSubscriberHello!nI can breeze through pre-processing steps without a glitch. It is when I go to the Mechanism Reduction section that I am unable to complete the run. Am I choosing the targets incorrectly? I tried changing the maximum and endpoint to profile, but got a similar error.nAttached herewith is a screenshot of the error page. nn

This means one of the runs in the initial Chemkin project failed to converge. I would suggest that the user run the initial Chemkin project and make sure it runs without any error.nYou may also ask the user for na) what model they are using in Chemkinnb) what targets they are using for reduction, and their tolerances.
