Ansys EmployeeHello, to alternate polarity between Positive and Negative during a simulation in Ansys Maxwell, you can use the 'Function' polarity type to define a mathematical expression or a predefined function that dictates the polarity change. This function can be a sinusoidal function which would allow the polarity to change in a sinusoidal manner without manually changing the coil settings each time. Moreover, you can simply select possitive or negative polarity and then by using an appropriate function directly in the winding setup you can alternate the polarity of the current.

SubscriberHi Timos, Thanks for your response. Yes, I want to alternate the polarity from Positive to Negative at predefined time, at t= 1 ms. Can you please tell me what will be the syntax for this function ? I have tried using 1 for positve polarity and 0 for negative polarity which did not work. I used, if(time>=0.001,0,1) which did not change the polarity. Please let me know the correct syntax.
