SubscriberI am simulating an inductive power transfer system underwater and I want to compare coupling coefficients in air vs underwater. However, when I change the region to seawater, the coupling coefficient does not change at all, even when I increase the frequency. At higher frequencies, there should be magnetic field attenuation underwater that decreases the coupling coefficient, but the results do not mirror that. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I might need to change?

Ansys EmployeeHi,
Please make sure
1.the permeability of air and sea water is correctly defined.
2. the solution region is large enough.
3. The mesh density is appropriate.
You can also run with smaller percent error to increase the accuracy. You can also link the mesh of one case to the other to ensure they have the same mesh when doing comparative study.Â
