Subscriberhello,
I am simulating a 3 phase Induction machine using "constant torque" as the load type. I have specified the rated speed as 1474 rpm in the Analysis setup. But after simulation, the solution data for rated load operation has 1482.59 rpm as the rated shaft speed.Â
What exactly is happening here, that the speed is changing. I understand that for constant torque, moving.torque is calculated by using the rated power and rated speed. And I am getting the torque by using the speed of 1474 rpm. So how does 1482.59 rpm fit in this?
Â
I have attached the pics showcasing this.

Ansys EmployeeHi,
In constant torque mode, RMxprt prioritizes the rated torque command, 259 Nm here. Rated Speed is neglected after getting the torque command. The actual rated speed should be read from the actual torque vs speed curve at the rated voltage.
