SubscriberHi,
I'm using CFD Post for animation rendering. The rendering is very slow, almost 2 minutes per frame. It's a fairly simple 2D model where both css and cdat files are below 30MB but there is a lot of files in one directory - almost 30.000. Only opening a complete case takes probably hours. I don't know how much exact as I'm always working on something else during loading. It feels like it goes faster if I separate the case into several directories but means additional work. Are familiar with this behavior and is it possible to do something about it?
Regards,
Daniel

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Did you try to post-process the results in some other directory or folder? Do you have any background application(s) running simultaneously?

SubscriberNormally I need to run simulations simultaneously. Of course I accept some drop of performance but it does feel excessive. I noticed that the rendering can go faster if a folder contains much fewer result files, but that also introduces more work eg. dividing the whole batch of results and putting together pieces of animations at the end.

Ansys EmployeeI see. In that case, please ensure you have adequate memory resources. Also check the quality of the frames/video getting generated. Higher quality will demand more resources.
