CFD floating

I'm doing a simulation for a floating object by multiphase VOF, during the running of the calculation the object suddenly jumped upward and this error appeared: Update-Dynamic -Mesh failed, negative cell volume detected. So I want the object to float on water and upward with an increase in water.

      Hi,

The issue might be related to the mesh quality or the settings of your simulation.

Check the quality of your mesh, especially around the floating object. A poorly generated mesh can lead to negative cell volumes.

Ensure that the mesh is refined enough in regions with complex fluid dynamics, such as around the object and where significant changes in flow occur.

      hello
I have a similar problem, I am simulating a floating body (I use dynamic mesh) in a VOF in a swell channel. when I initialize in flat it simulates fine, but when I initialize in wavy it comes out "Floating point exception".
What I did was to set a time step of 0.0001 when I am in wavy (with flat I only need 0.002).
If it is well what I did or I have to check in detail the mesh?
I could show you pictures of the mesh if you like

      Hi,

It's essential to ensure that your mesh is of good quality, especially near the regions where the dynamic mesh is applied. And reducing the time step in wavy conditions can help improve stability, in addition it is essential to ensure that the time step size is not too small, as this can lead to excessive computational time or even numerical issues.
