I am modeling a centrifugal pump wheel that will spin a fluid flow.
How to set the wheel to have free rotation?
In the settings, you can only set the angular velocity.
Can I set the rotation speed to 0. But at the same time put the number 1 or -1, depending on the direction of rotation in the desired coordinate axis?
I need the wheel to spin freely from the flow of water.

to have your wheel follow the flow of water, you will need to set a Dynamic Mesh with the 6-DOF model. Fluent will calculate the loads exerted on the wheel's boundary and will set it in motion.

SubscriberOK. I thought so. But what to do with the boundary condition on the wheel? It turns out that it does not need to be installed on it (speed, etc.)?

Ansys EmployeeThat's correct. The screenshot that you are showing are not boundary conditions but cell zone conditions. These do not need to be set if going the 6DOF route. The boundary of the wheel will be set to type Wall and you can assign it with Rigid Body motion with 6DOF in Dynamic Mesh settings.Â
