SubscriberIf I wanted to create a source term in my cell zone, at the surface of a wall, using a UDF, how would I do this? I would be basically turning a wall into a inlet boundary condition manually. Would I just sketch a thin section near the wall, turn it into a cell zone, and specify it as an inlet? Or is there a way to actually specify the thread number or faces at the wall. Even selecting the cells directly adjacent to the wall would work. How would I specify the mean mixture fraction, and would I need to specify other sources like energy too?

Forum ModeratorSource terms can be set via DEFINE_SOURCE UDFs. Or you can split some cells out of the Fluent fluid and then assign values directly to that zone. Expressions are also available, but I've not used them for source terms (yet).Â
