Hi,
for some reason, I can't save my Workbench project nor could I archive it. So i forced to close the program and found that I couldn't open the project again. The error message read: 'GuiOperation OPen...' threw exception during invoke: The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid.
Can someone help me understand the issue and the way to recover my files? Thanks!

September 7, 2021 at 11:16 amANSYS_MMadoreAnsys EmployeeCan you try renaming your %APPDATA%\Ansys to Ansys.old?
September 7, 2021 at 3:28 pmwenhaoliSubscriberHi could you please instruct me how may i do it? I'm not quite familiar with file management ...
September 7, 2021 at 4:13 pmRobForum ModeratorSearch for %appdata% in File Explorer, it's probably in C:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\Ansys and/or C:\Users\userID\AppData\Roaming\Ansys Note, /AppData is a hidden folder.
June 23, 2023 at 7:28 pmConnor FindlaySubscriberWas there any resolution to this error? I have the same issue, and renaming %APPDATA%/Ansys to Ansys.old has had no impact to me
