Can I change the begin node number or begin element number in Mechanical?

Yes. First you can click on Model in the Outline Tree and then under Model tab at top and click Mesh Numbering. This will add Mesh Numbering item in the Outline Tree. Right click on it to insert Numbering Control for selected body, where you can set Begin Node Number and Begin Element Number.

How one can select the node or elements by their IDs?

To select the mesh by ID go to Selection Tab --> Select by Mesh ID...  --> then enter the individual ID or a given range.

Another way is go to Display Tab --> Preferences Annotation --> Mesh Display --> Select Node numbers and/ or element numbers and then Apply

One more way is to use named selection worksheet.
