hi all
hope this is the right forum!
I want to analyse the heating/cooling of a battery cell due to the ambient temperature. A) Which tool should I use for this?
As I think about the analysis, there are two options:
1 either I simulate the temperature after beeing exposed to the ambient temperature after a given time (e.g. 4h) and look at the hottest and coldest parts or2 I simulate how long it takes until the temperature of the last part equals the ambient temperature (prefered)
B) How can I automate the process of the simulation, that the tool simulates for a specific ambient temperature range and provides one list of results? (for option 1 a heatmap of the part would be nice)
C) How can I model that the heat transfer can take place over the whole surface plus the two contacts?

To set up the heating/cooling of a cell is essentially a heat transfer problem. You can take a look at our heat transfer courses here:Â Ansys Innovation Courses - ANSYS Innovation Courses. For setting up a heatmap and/or visualizing through animation, you can go through the Post Processing in Ansys Fluent - Innovation Space course.Â
