SubscriberDear Ansys Community,Â
Is there a way to model a cable (using cable element) with moment stiffness in ANSYS Transient? I prefer not to use a beam element. I found a solution for LS-DYNA, but it does not seem to work for Transient analysis.
Thank you. -

SubscriberI haven't tried the method you linked to myself, but I expect it should work in a Transient Structural model. What error do you see when you try?

SubscriberDear Peter,
Thank you for your response. I tried your method in Transient Structural (attached) however for some reasons it does not converge, I tried to use the setting that best matches your original post  however I am not sure if it is differences in LS-Dyna and tansient settings or somethins else,I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have to help resolve this issue.
Thank you,
