Brake Squeal Analysis

      Hi,

I'm trying to do a brake squeal analysis on a model designed by myself but both the non prestessed and prestressed modal analysis gives me all 0 stability values. How can I do?

      Hi,

The example you are referring to demonstrates the use of complex eigensolvers to predict unstable modes, which are essential for identifying potential brake squeal. If you are getting zero stability values, it might be helpful to revisit the setup steps to ensure that all necessary conditions and parameters are correctly defined. This includes checking the sliding frictional contact conditions, as they play a crucial role in brake squeal analysis.

Additionally, the documents provided in the context suggest that the Newton-Raphson algorithm should be set to UNSYM during the static analysis, and the CMROTATE command must be used to specify the rotational velocity of the wheel. Ensuring these settings are correct can be critical to obtaining accurate results.

If you have followed all the steps correctly and are still facing issues, it might be beneficial to look into the following example: How to use Brake Squeal analysis in WorkBench (non-linear perturbed modal)? - Ansys Knowledge

Hi, I will try to do everything form the beginning and follow the link you've suggested. Thank you so much, have a great day.
