SubscriberHi,
I have doubt in modeling natural convection by using the Boussinesq hypothesis. Could someone here explain it a bit more.

Hi,
Boussinesq model assumes the fluid density is constant in all terms of the momentum equation except the body force term.In the body force term, the fluid density is linearized. The Boussinesq assumption is valid when density variations are small.
You can check fluent user’s guide for more details: 7.3. Operating Conditions (ansys.com)
Thank you.
