SubscriberHello!
We are creating a 1-way FSI simulation in which a solid-body deforms inside a fluid domain. The fluid domain doesn't have any inherent flow speed, and we want to simulate an infinite domain. I was thinking of the boundary conditions to be as follows: non-reflecting, 1 pressure outlet and 1 velocity inlet with v=0, and nonslip walls on other sides. Is this correct? Or should the conditions be different?

Ansys EmployeeHelloÂ
Could you please share the schematic diagram of your domain?-

Ansys EmployeeYou can specify the ambient pressure at the openings if it is known.

Subscriberhello! thank you very much for the reply: except the top part, we basically want to simulate this as an infinite domain. In that case do we also specify the ambient pressure? And if we don't have a velocity inlet condition is it fine?

Ansys EmployeeIf you are just simulating the part of infinite domain, you can use symmetry BCs.Â
