SubscriberHello everyone,
I am attempting to simulate the fluid around a specific object. The object consists of both solid and surface bodies.
My issue arises from the fact that, as some parts of the object are surface bodies, using the boolean (subtract) tool to remove the volume occupied by the object from the surrounding environment (a parallelepiped-shaped region representing the surrounding air) does not work. Consequently, I am unsure how to obtain the fluid domain for my simulation with Fluent.
Is there a solution? Is it possible to convert the surface bodies into solids and assign them a thickness?
Thank you ????

Ansys EmployeeHello Nicola,Â
this can be done at the geometry/CAD level. I would suggest loading your geometry in Discovery and substracting the volumes there.
