SubscriberDear community,
I have the Problem that I dont know, if ANSYS cut the bolts at the correct Point for the bolt-preload.
I cut the bolts at the top of the nut and under the big plate at the top (Picture ). In that case there are no connections at the area of the bolt-preload. But the two red arrows which shows the Point of the bolt-preload aren´t in the middle of the bolt (Picture). In that case I dont know if the bolt-preload is at the correct place of the bolt. Is it important where the to red arrows are placed?Â

SubscriberIt doesn't much matter where the software puts the flag or where the cylindrical rod is automatically sliced to insert the Bolt Pretension. Once the load is applied, the tension is present on the entire length of the cylindrical solid.
