Our Lab uses Ansys Fluent. We want to get a new computational rack including 9 same HP Proliant DL380p G8 servers from University's IT Dept. with Infiniband connection. just the hardware. without any Operating System or software installed.
upper server has 6TB HDD,32GB RAM and others have 300GB HDD , 32GB RAM.
what should do to get best performance?
Is CentOS 7.5 good? how should cluster for best performance? any offer for software,....

Ansys EmployeeHi Mysm,
I would suggest a commercial grade scheduler to run the cluster.
The ansys products support, LSF, PBS, SGE, and Windows HPC.
You can see the scheduler support here:

Â
It may be possible to use the ansys ARC scheduler, but for a system like this I wouldn't recommend it.
As for the OS version, please see our platform support here:
https://www.ansys.com/solutions/solutions-by-role/it-professionals/platform-support
Â
Lastly, you may want to verify that 32GB will be enough RAM for the types or problems you are looking to solve.
Â
Thank you,
Jake
