SubscriberHello,
When a bending table is applied to a part and the value of a bending radius is not specified in the table, is the bend deduction value calculated from the kfactor?
In this case, if the kfactor is set as constant, the deduction value should change normally by adjusting it from 0.3 to 0.5?
Our customer needs to have always kfactor at 0.3 for radius not specifed in the table even if this one is large.
it seems to be positioned at 0.5Â

Forum ModeratorHi Guillaume,Â
I have attached the link to help documentation which explains the calculation for bend deduction Using a Bend Deduction Table (ansys.com)
K-factor represents the ratio of neutral line to thickness and is used for calculation of Bend Allowance Calculating Bend Allowances (ansys.com). You can try without the bend table to see the effect of changing K-factor on bend allowance and unfolded length.Â
Let me check further if K-factor should affect the calculation even if the bend table is specified.Â
Thanks and Regards
