SubscriberHello,
In my analysis model, two plate and a fastener exists (as a beam). When I apply bolt pre-tension to the beam element, plates are seperating. However, it should squize the plates. I thought that it might be a visual problem because when i checked with the contact tool, the contact seems appropriate.
Â
Edit:
I checked with bolt pretension probe, and adjusment reaction (mm) has a minus sign.Â
Any suggestions ?Â
Thanks in advance

Hi
Â
See how this can be done here:
/courses/index.php/courses/connecting-bolts-with-the-rest-of-an-assembly/lessons/connecting-bolts-represented-as-beam-elements-lesson-3/Â
Also the beam connection can be used
