SubscriberHai,
I need guidance in giving ballast tank in a cylindrical floating platform. should i convert it to equivalent mass and apply as point mass or is there any other way, required ballast of sea water is calculated automatically in ansys aqwa -

Ansys EmployeeIt can be simplifed as the point mass with the mass and moments of inertia variables with respect to the COG of the ballast water. Alternatively, if the ballast water is not fully filled in the tank, and the sloshing effects of the ballast water is important to the global motions of the platform, the ballast water tank can be modelled by the internal tank in Aqwa.
