SubscriberHello,
I'm trying to simulate a Turbomachinary case using K-Omega SST, I'm trying to target a y plus of <5, which requires a first layer height in the order of 10^-6. When I simulate it with a larger first layer height (10^-3) fluent mesher produces a nice mesh with no issues, but with the required height the minimum orthogonal quality is 7*10^-4. The improve volume mesh task doesn't do anything to help. Any ideas?Â

Thank you.Â

Ansys EmployeeWhat is min orthogonal quality?Â
To proceed to solver you need to have min ortho quality more than 0.1. If it is the case then you can proceed to solver.Â
If you are getting bad quality in boundary layer, please consider refining surface mesh further at the places where you get bad elements.Â
Please go through help manual for more detailsÂ
