For the 3D calculation, I did a simulation with autosave every 10 steps but it takes a lot of memory. Is there a way to avoid saving everything and therefore limit the storage capacity (specify variables or time steps to save)

Hello,
You can do a couple of things:
- Make sure you check the option where you are saving only the data file (case file will be saved only when it is altered).
- You can click on Data Quantities (image from R19.1) and you can pick the variables you want to save.
- You can also write your case and data files in .cas.gz and .dat.gz format. These are compressed case and data files and can potentially save space.
I hope this helps.
Best,
Karthik
