Hi, i met a problem when i used aqwa user_force through python. The program stopped after about 30 steps, and show ANALYSIS ERROR USER_FORCE DLL ERROR NUMBER 1179901292. I simulated the two-bodies floating structure. Expected a answer.

And i also want to know how to use use_force in Workbench.

      Hello,

Are you able to share your Python script here?

For running a Python user-defined force function through Workbench, you should turn on the time domain Analysis Settings option 'Connect to Server for External "user_force" Calculation', and use the option 'External Operation before Solving' to launch the Python server.

Thank you for much,I have solved my problem of python script.

I also want to know  the detail of 'External Operation before Solving' for using in Workbench. Hope your response.

Hello, I'm glad you got it resolved.

The 'External Operation before Solving' option allows you to either:

      • Run a command, as if you were entering it in the Windows Command Prompt; or
      • Run a Python script, where the script can be defined directly in the Aqwa Workbench editor, or you can load a script from disk.

Both of these operations are performed after the Aqwa input file has been generated, but before the solver is executed.

      I hope this helps!

Hi,I’m currently experiencing the same problem. My question is :In the workbench interface, is it still necessary to follow the instructions in the manual, running the .py file first to establish the connection when running a Python user-defined force function ?

By the way, what is the meaning of USER_FORCE DLL ERROR NUMBER 1?

        Thank you very much
