SubscriberIf you are using Mechanical Workbench, you must have more than one element along the Line Body. Use a Sizing Mesh Control to set the Number of Divisions to 2. Then use a Bolt Pretension load and turn on Large Deflection under the Analysis Settings.

SubscriberWhen the wires have zero pre-tension, the mast will move some amount for a given wind speed.
When the wires have some pre-tension, the mast will move less in the same given winds speed.
As the pre-tension is increased, the mast will move less and less.
You have to decide how much mast movement is acceptable.
However, if you increase the pre-tension too much, the mast will buckle.
You want to analyze how close to buckling the mast is for the pre-tension and the wind.
