AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem

Hello, I recently downloaded and installed ANSYS Student 2024 R2 on my system. While working on a Static Structural analysis, I encountered an issue.

Here is the sequence of events:

I opened a new SpaceClaim geometry and developed a design beam model.
After completing the design, I returned to the Workbench.
When I double-clicked on the "Model" to proceed with the analysis, I received an error message stating: "AnsysWBU.exe encountered a problem. A diagnostic file has been written: C:\Users\mayur|AppData|Local\TempWBDumpFile.dmp
I would appreciate any guidance or solutions you can provide to resolve this issue.

      Thank you for your support.

Hi Mayur, whenever the workbench or any other application crashes it creates a .dmp file, it's a generic error from an error message we don't get any information but the data in the .dmp file shows the exact issue. To address this issue, you can try the following steps:

      1. Restart your computer to ensure no processes are interfering with ANSYS Workbench.
      2. Run ANSYS Workbench as an administrator to ensure it has the necessary permissions.
      3. Check if your system meets the minimum requirements for running ANSYS Student 2024 R2.
      4. Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date, as outdated drivers can sometimes cause issues with 3D software.
      5. If the problem persists, consider reinstalling ANSYS Student, making sure to download the latest version from the official website.

      Thanks,

      Deepak
