SubscriberThis happened with me before and I found that the issue was a UDF that I hooked on reading the file. The problem was solved by removing the udflib folder and removing the source code from its location. And the case was loaded successfully with error of not finding the library. nIf you are using UDF, delete the folder and change the source code directory and try again. n -

Forum ModeratorThe UDF would be a libudf (default name) in the same folder as the case and data files. Can you ask your user to open Fluent from the Start menu? If there is no icon they need the fluent.exe file that's in nC:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v211\fluenttbin\win64\fluent.exenassuming they didn't do anything clever during installation. Is the file that's failing from 2021R1 or an earlier release? n -

SubscriberI have asked what release the file is from. I am guessing it is from an earlier release since they have been working on this project for awhile but I will clarify. When opening fluent directly and opening the file this is the error. Unable to open | utility fl42seg X:/UNC_003NC_PrismMesh_4Mcells.cas.h5 for reading.: iostream stream errorn -

Forum ModeratorThat may be more useful. Is the X: drive local or network/USB drive?n -

SubscriberIt is a network drive. All users use the network drive as we restrict them from using the cdrive on the machines.n -

Forum ModeratorNetwork drive on Windows I take it. I wonder if it's latency/packet loss related then. We see this every few years as the cases get bigger and drive/network speeds increase: depending which is the winner the model may or may not load. Will smaller files load OK?. -
