SubscriberHi,
I understand that 2021R1 version supports only CentOS 8.1 and not 8.3. However I don't have a choice as the HPC cluster I use works on CentOS 8.3. Initially I could n't even get LS-DYNA SMP version to work as it kept throwing the following error
'symbol lookup error: /lib64/libk5crypto.so.3: undefined symbol: EVP_KDF_ctrl, version OPENSSL_1_1_1b
******** UNEXPECTED ERROR - NETWORK TASK CONTROL INCONSISTENCY *******'
I managed to fix this issue and make the SMP version work by removing all libcrypto.so.1.1 files from ANSYS installation directory.
However the MPP version still does not work and it keeps throwing me SIGSEGV segmentation fault error. I followed the direction in the installation manual and ran the mpitest program. When I run 'mpitest211 -np 2' I get the following error message

Ansys EmployeeWe became aware of a problem on CentOS 8.X and it seems to be resolved by using Intel compiler Version 19.0. That compiler will be used for our next major release of LS-DYNA R13.0.0. For the time being, only beta builds from the Development code are available and those are generally not provided to academic license holders.

Subscriberthanks tslavik. That's good to know and the answer will help others as well. We also have issues with Ansys Mechanical and other software as well. We are enterprise license holders so I will try to download the beta versions.
