SubscriberHi Support,Â
In the 2024 version of SpaceClaim and Discovery the Facet shelling with infills isn't very stable and produces results which cannot be used.
The 2022 version of SpaceClaim doesn't have the same effects. See below image of the 2024 and 2022 versions. I haven't tested with all versions but this should show that there is something wrong in the latest. The 2024 version doesn't seem to subtract the infill from the part just creates it around the part.
You should be able to replicate this yourself. I have used the skull which I simply used the shell with 2mm wall thickness and a basic hex infill. Please reach out if you would like this model but I have found this happens on quite a few.

SubscriberHi Charudatta,Â
Yes I can confirm a simple cylinder does work however a more complex shape as in the skull in my images do not but they did in previous versions.
Please send me a secure link so I can send you this example skull so then you will hopefully be able to confirm on your end
Best Regards,
Tim Dukes

Hi Charudatta,Â
Just wanted to check and see whether you were able to replicate on anything more complex. It does seem like a bug and happens in both Discovery and SpaceClaim.
Best Regards,
TimÂ
