SubscriberHi Gary, I am getting some weird message about licensing when trying to install the local help.  This may not be the right place to find a solution since it involves my employer's licensing setup.  However, would it be helpful to describe how licenses are checked for a local documentation installation? Just seems really strange that this is checked, see copy/paste below:
There was a problem determining the date of the new license files.
The files will not be installed and will be deselected.
For more information, please see the install.err...
I also can't find this .err file. -

Ansys EmployeeHi Dennis
The Offline installable Ansys help does not rely on licensing.Â
The message can be safely ignored, although it does seem like an minor setup install bug.
Since you are are commerical customer, I recommend submitting a formal support case through the proper channels. -

SubscriberI just want to make a quick post providing a reason why above error message about licensing occured.  What I tried to do was installing 2025R1 documentation when we only had 2023R2 installed.   This is what caused the weird licensing error since it's probably not detecting 2025R1 installation where by pressing F1, one would have accessed this local documentation.  Â
I have 2025R1 at home though :)
