ANSYS Maxwell System Coupling unavailable

      Hello guys,

I'm an undergrad research assistant and I'm working on a research project with SynRMs. At the moment I'm trying to do System Coupling between Maxwell and Fluent for thermal analysis. I'm following the steps described in the "Permanent Magnet Electric Motor Co-Simulation (Maxwell-Fluent)" in the System Coupling Tutorial PDF from ANSYS Learning Hub. In the tutorial, I have to add System Coupling Setup by right-clicking on Optimetrics > Add > System Coupling, but when I attempted to do this with my Maxwell2D model, I can't find the System Coupling option.

I've attached a screenshot of my ANSYS Maxwell model, as well as the exact page I'm referring to from the PDF. Any help with this will be appreciated!

      Thank you :)

Hi Do you have the Ansys structures full package installed on your pc?
You can also look at these well-explained tutorials from the below link for maxwell coupling.

If you are using a student version of the software you can follow the below forum discussion to understand how to get to this link.

I'm unsure if we have the full Structural Package installed. I know I have access to Steady-State Thermal and Transient Thermal analysis through the Workbench, but I'll confirm with the PhD researcher I'm working to see if we have the full Structural Package installed.

I've attached a screenshot of what my workbench toolbox, if that's any help.

      Hi,
Which AEDT version are you using? You probably need a 2019R2 or newer in order to have "system coupling setup" option there. Also, if you open maxwell from workbench, you may not have that option either.

Yea I was opening it up through Workbench thus not getting the system coupling option, I'm getting the option. Now I'm stuck at another part, if you could take a look at the question I posted, that would be great!

      Hello hadisc2
Is it possible for you to share the Pdf of the Maxwell Fluent Cosimulation. My Department have the license but I cannot access the customer portal.
      Thanks
