Ansys Maxwell Calculation Methods – Electrical field / Voltage Magnitude

      Hello,

      I would like to know the calculation methods for the magnitude of the electrical field and the voltage along a line.

      In my situation, I want to know the field in each part of my insulation system, but I also need to know what/how the distance is taken into account in the electric field, and if could change it.

      Hi Lucie,

      You can plot a fields quantity (Mag_E, Voltage ...) along a line following these steps:

      1/ Go to Maxwell 3D/ Results/ Create Fields Plot/ Rectangular Plot

      2/ In the field “Geometry” select the line and in “Points” select the number of points that define your line (the default number is 101)

      3/ In the field “Category” select “Calculator Expressions”

      4/ In the field “Quantity” select “Mag_E” to plot the electric field magnitude or the desired quantity

      4/ Select “New Report”
