      Does free student software include ANSYS maxwell of Electromagnetics kit?

      No, it does not include Maxwell, but it does include the Magnetostatic system analysis.

      I am trying find the voltage induced in a rogowski coil due to a given alternating current. My analysis gets validated by the computation time is too long and I get some error related to "server" in the end. I am attaching an image of my analysis. Can somebody tell me what's worng with my model?

      Hello, i have two questions;

      1. I gave a 300v sinusoidal voltage to the primary winding of my high frequency transformer but when I checked the graph after simulation it was not a sinusoidal wave, can you please help me find the problem? You can find the equation and the results attache
      2. Can you please give me the equation for sqaure waveform with 300v magnitude, 50% duty cycle and 20kHz frequency?

      Hi,

      I have run a magnetic transient analysis on ansys maxwell 3d to find the voltage induced in the rogowski coil for a given alternating current. My maximum value of induced voltage after analysing it in ansys maxwell is 5.3 mV. The same value based on a given analytical formula is around 5.6 mV. I have run my analysis with the default mesh settings. Can someone tell me what I should change in my mesh to get more accurate result? Also the goal of my analysis is to estimate the error induced due to a gap at one end of the coil, when the primary conductor is not in the centre of the coil. I ran another analysis with the primary conductor closer to the gap and I got an induced voltage of around 5.2 mV. The mesh settings for both analysis are exactly same. Is it safe to assume that the relative error i.e, 0.1/5.3 is unaffected by the error induced due to the finite element method. I have attached an image of my analysis below.my geometry

      Hello ,

      i wish to create a simulation of displacement current, changing elecrtric field creating a magnetic field.

      in the Ansys Electronics desktop (student version) there is only a magnetic solution or electric solution (not both at the same time), where displacement current creates a magnetic field as a product of electric field so i need both solvers at the same time. I understant that in the Workbench it is possible to do such a thing, i downloaded Workbench and trying to figure out how to do it but with no success, can you please help me with how to do it ?

      Thanks,

      Elad.
