Ansys Licensing Settings

Hello, I’m part of a student team and recently downloaded the Ansys 2024 R2 Structures primary package by following the steps in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzowy_A2qZI. Once the download finished, the licensing settings program opened, but I’m unsure what I should do here:

. The Structures package has successfully downloaded, but when I open the software I get an error stating that a valid licensing server could not be connected and to review my license configuration in Ansys Licensing Settings to make sure I’m connected to a valid network. I’m not exactly sure what information I need to input into Ansys Licensing Settings and where to get those details from, so any guidance on how to resolve this would be much appreciated.

      Hello there,

I assume you have installed Students version 2024 R2?
You need not add details in Ansys Licensing Settings for the student's version.
Can you please confirm if the other versions are working as expected?

Can you please refer to KM #000069522 and let me know?

        Hi Mrunali,

I haven't installed the student version of Ansys 2024 R2, I'm using a license obtained via the Ansys Student Team Partnership, which provides free commercial versions of the software: https://www.ansys.com/academic/students/student-teams. Thank you for sharing a link to KM #000069522. I've referred to it and followed the steps, but I'm not sure how I can confirm that both 1055 and 1056 ports are able to communicate with the license server. I can now open Workbench, but the other softwares such as Ansys Mechanical, Discovery and SpaceClaim give me an error when I attempt to run them.
