ANSYS License Manager Error: System clock has been set back

      Hello,

I'm a student and I've installed ANSYS 2020 R1 but every time I try to open the geometry editor this error message appears:

I've found this topic: /forum/forums/topic/license-manager-error-aa_t_i/   that match with my problem. So i tried to locate the files that have a future date and I found a lot of them (hundreds of files with creation date in 2064, I have no idea where they come from), but I don't know how to change their dates. I tried using a tool but it doesn't work, also because many of them are system/windows files and I can't even delete them. I also tried to change manually the date on windows but I guess I made things worse because now I have other new files with a future date. Any suggestion?

      Thank you

Thank you for checking the past thread.

This is exactly the cause of the licensing issue you are having. Unfortunately, until you can make those files to not be in the future date compared to your systems clock, the licensing won't work.

The fact that you can also, somehow, easily create new files with future date is concerning. I think it may be best you reformat the machine. If you want to explore other options, your best shot would be to ask Microsoft experts in their forum.

Sounds good. Please report back how it goes. You may also need to verify that the installation package that you use to install your OS is valid and no issue/virus.

I've reformat my pc and now it's working, I think that's the only solution to this problem if you can't modify those files

After a lot of searching, I finally managed to find a solution to my problem.nI installed the Attribute Changer for Win10, researched all the softwares of my system that use the FlexNet system, forced the closing of all the operations by the Task Manager. I did the search in C:by date and specified the interval from 09/22/2020 - 01/02/2021. I organized by Modification Date and selected all files and folders that had a date after the current date (09/22). I followed this tutorial:https://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/how-to-change-the-last-modified-date-creation-date-and-last-accessed-date-for-files-and-folders/#:~:text=File%20Properties%20tab.-,If%20you%20want%20to%20change%20the%20last%20modified%20date%20or,these%20using%20the%20options%20providednIn case the use of external links is not allowed, I apologize, but it was the only solution I could find.n
