In order to perform thermal analysis of electric machines, which one is preferred (and why): Fluent or Icepak? Or any of those is equally suitable?

Thanks for reaching out. So, Icepak uses fluent as the solver. You could use either Fluent or Icepak to perform your simulation. Icepak provides powerful electronic cooling solutions that utilize the industry leading Ansys Fluent computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver for thermal and fluid flow analyses. You can couple other EM tools (Maxwell, Hfss etc) with Icepak or Fluent. Hope this answers your question. Thanks!
