Ansys Fluent error for UDF compile for 2024 R1

Ansys Fluent error for udf compile. cons: warning: no version of visual studio compiler found - c/c++ compilers most likely not set correctly. How to solve this problem. Anyone have any idea for that. I am using 2024 R1 version.

Use the built in compiler and change the filename to avoid having the + in it.       mass_heat.c may work, but mass+heat.c won't.

Try in the root folder and work from there.

Yes, I did in the root folder still not working. Do I need to install the VS 2022 and if I need then Can you kindly guide me which modules I need to install?

The whole point of the built in compiler was to avoid needing any of the VS components.

Check for scons on here - you can't be the first person to have seen this error.

Hello, it looks like this is just a warning and not an error. I've seen this before and still been able to load the udf - please double-check to see whether you can load the udf after building, and/or have created the "libudf.dll" file in your 3ddp_host and 3ddp_node directories.

Glad to see that the UDF compiles and loads.

I would recommend just ignoring the warning, given that the built-in compiler seems to be working just fine. If you really want to not see the warning, you can install Visual Studio and set up the compilation environment to run with Fluent. Like Rob was saying, there are lots of threads on this forum and other places on the internet documenting that process, but it can take some time and effort to get it properly installed, hence my recommendation to go with the currently working method.
