      How can I remove a layer of elements from the top end of a geometry in ANSYS APDL 19.2?

      Before solution you can select them and delete them with edele,all.  During solution you can select them and kill them with ekill,all.

      How can i select the elements ?

      Let's say the location of the surface is at Y = 20.  Then

      nsel,s,loc,y,20  ! Select the nodes at y  = 20

      esln   ! Select the elements attached to the selected nodes

      edele/ekill       ! Perform desired operation on selected elements

      allsel              ! Select whole model to continue
