SubscriberI am trying to simulate a 3D model in ANSYS workbench. The model is a carbon fiber resting on aluminium surface and a plunger which is displacing the carbon tow. I have created a symmetric model. I used solid elements and it works with no errors. What I need is a load vs Displacement graph plot. below is my model and my results. there is deviation from the experimental data. My hunch is that the material properties for my fiber are different from the experimental one.

SubscriberThe large deflections are on. Also I am using orthotropic material for my carbon fiber. Those are non-linear curves that i am trying to obtainnViewing 6 reply threads- The topic ‘ANSYS 3D simulation’ is closed to new replies.
