SubscriberHi, I just began working with ANSYS 2024 R1. The first 2 weeks, it worked well but since a few days I am having problems with my files. Opening Workbench works well, but when I want to update, open or close a Model, it takes about 30 to 45 minutes. The RAM is 100% occupied in this time (I've got 32 GB). Sometimes, Mechanical even crashes while opening or closing files. With ANSYS 2023, we never had this problems with the exact same files...
Do you know about this issue?Â
Thank you in advance for your help

SubscriberFor anybody having the same problem, I actually found a solution to this.
See this post here: Simulation Mechanical crashes while opening file (autodesk.com)
So, the cause of the probem was not the Ansys version itself, but rather the creation of multiple named selections at a time...
After replacing the named selections with geometry selections, I was able to recover my files.

SubscriberHi Anika,ÂI have the same problem. When I try to open or uptade any model (mechanical, static structural etc.) system uses full ram capacity. Even If I get to open a model it's barely usable. Solver times are as usual but saving or updating steps are extremely slow (5-6 hour or 1-2 day). I tried your "named selection" solution but it did not work. Do you have any other solution about it?Â
