Hello,

 

I tried installing Ansys 2024 R1 on my laptop, I previously had 2022 R1 student so I uninstalled it and ran the 2024 setup file as admin. It installed with errors. I uninstalled and deleted the installer and all folders that were created during the installation. Also deleted the folders in %APPDATA%\Ansys and re downloaded and re installed the 2024 R1 and still face the same error. I am copying error log below. Please help.

Hi Akshay,

I think you need to uninstall 2024R1:-  from the 2024R1 program group

Then check your graphics card has the latest driver available for it by going to the Nvidia website (Official Drivers | NVIDIA)
Re download the installation media,in case it got corrupted or a partial download.
Uncompress the install files
Then, with an account with admin rights, right click on setup.exe and select 'Run as Administrator' as this issue could be a permissions problem during the install and this step will help.
