Hello,
I was trying to follow a Rocky tutorial Chapter 16 mixing tank. It is a 2-Way Fluent coupling with Rocky DEM. When I tried to import the CFD solution from Fluent into Rocky, I got an error, "Fluent could not be launched," "Please check fluent.log file for errors." I checked the error files and there are one line "myid (0): Fatal signal raised sig = SIGSEGV" in "fluent-0-error.log" and one line "Error [cortex] Cortex received a fatal signal (SEGMENTATION VIOLATION)" in "cortexerror.log".
I also checked that there is a 'fluent' folder inside the Rocky installation folder.

To check, are you running outside Workbench, there are no "odd" characters in the path and you installed Rocky after Fluent?Â

Hi Rob,
I don't see our last two replies, probably due to the website maitenence. I run Rocky outside Workbench because I cannot find Rocky on Workbench. There are no odd characters in the path. I don't know whether Rocky was installed after Fluent, but there is a folder of fluent inside the Rocky directory.
The software is on HPC of Linux system. I can launch standalone Fluent, as well as from Workbench.

Yes, one of the server powering hamsters got loose and chewed through a cable. IT are trying to entice it out of the rack at the moment.....Â
That sounds OK. I'll raise with the Rocky team as I'm less confident with the nuts and bolts side of the links.Â

I like your sense of humor! Fingers crossed the server hangs in there—and the hamster behaves!

Dear newsteinlike, Rocky-Fluent coupling requires additional installation steps on Linux. Can you check the documentation in the Customer Portal under Downloads -> Installation and Licensing Help and Tutorials, in the Installation tab there will be a document called Ansys Rocky Installation Guide, under the "Ansys Rocky" content. Please check whether you followed these steps before trying to run the coupled case?

Dear Victor,
I have shared your response with the IT department because Ansys is installed on HPC. I will update here once IT gets back to me.
