SubscriberI succesfully imported geometry from autocad and completed meshing and naming part, showing green tick in workbench for both Geometry and Mesh, now when i open Setup its showing an error. I am writing the exact text
An error occured in FLUENT while applying case and settings informations.
at Ansys.Fluent.Cortex.CortexCommunicator.SendMessage(String msg, String msgKey, String errorMessage, Boolean waitForReply)
at Ansys,Fluent.FluentCommunicator.UpdateSetupInfo(Dictionary`2 info)
at Ansys,Fluent.Data.SetupData.ReadCaseModelInfo(FullContext context)Â
Â
I am attaching the screenshot of meshing, it is a section of pipe in 3DÂ
please help me in fixing this error

Forum ModeratorPlease can you put the image into the post as staff are not permitted to download/open attachments. Also post an image of the volume mesh (a section through the centre line would be best.Â

Forum ModeratorYes, it'll complain when it get to the solver. Have a proper look at the requirements for 2d, 2d axisymmetric & 3d models. You currently break at least one rule for each so it can't work.Â

Subscribersir, actually the dimension of pipe is very large, it is having internal diameter 16 inch and length 90m and it is moving in all x,y and z axis so anyway i have to stick to axisymmetric otherwise if i make a real 3D pipe having circular cross section then simulation time drastically increases, sir will u suggest me how to proceed for this problem

Forum ModeratorOK, and what are the limitations for Fluent with 2d and 2d axisymmetric models?Â

Subscriber.Hi kailash123
I had the same problem that you have...
This problem come from as you don't close the ansys meshing when you start the fluent.
Do this and tell me the results.
good luck.

Subscriber.Same problem here. It happened while conducting a mesh study. I started with a corse grid and doubled the resolution twice. So far no problems. When I then double the resolution once more, I get said error message.

Forum Moderator. The OPs problem wasn't mesh resolution. Please create a new thread.
