SubscriberHi All,
I am trying to simulate a moving heat source model using Goldak's equation and element birth and death method. I just started coding using APDL commands and as I am validating the code steps currently, the whole geometry is getting transparent in the solution section. Can anybody help me in this regard?
There is a bonded contact between the bead and the substrate. Firstly, I have killed all element of bead shown in the figure by using these commands:
ESEL,S,,,named_selection
EKILL,named_selection
ESEL,S,LIVE
NSLE,S
NSEL,INVE
D,ALL,TEMP,0
NSEL,ALL
ESEL,ALL
Do I have to kill and alive the contact along with the bead for all respective load and time steps?
In figure 2, it can be seen that the first group of elements are alive but the other part of geometry is TRANSPARENT.
In figure 1, why the total number of nodes are differing for the constraint (D,ALL,TEMP,0)?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you in advance
