SubscriberHelloÂ
I need help in figuring out if I need to know how air flows through the pipe for the acoustic analysis; which module would be best? I have used Fluent for that purpose, but my results have not been satisfactory. Should I start with the Acoustic model instead of fluent? Any suggestions would be really appreciated. #question #fluent #helpÂ

Ansys EmployeeHi,
For acoustic simulations, you can use Computational Aeroacoustics (CAA) with a high-end, scale-resolving turbulence model like SBES, or you can decouple acoustics from flow dynamics using the Lighthill acoustic analogy (Fowcs Williams Hawkings)
You can check previous forum discussion: ANSYS FLUENT air velocity inlet inside enclosure
You can also check fluent user's guide: 22.2. Using the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings Acoustics Model (ansys.com)
