SubscriberHello,
Â
Can you kindly check the attached project to find why it's closing the AIM without any error messages when I try to open?
Â
This is a project I have done yesterday, I go no error messages at all while running.
Â
Thank you,
Marcell

Hello,
Â
I had no errors or crashes when I was saving the project.
Neither when I saved the project, or the .wbpz.
Â
Regards,
Marcell

Ansys EmployeeHello marcellszeles
I have submitted bug 257810 for this crash issue and will let you know the response from development team about this crash.
The dev team suggested that the best way to restore the model is to use the journal file, which should be located in the following directory -
..diatron-m1-13mm-1_filessession_files
You can copy the journal file to another directory and then read the file into AIM by selecting -
File > Scripting > Run Script FileÂ
which should recreate the model by replaying their steps.Â

Ansys EmployeeHello marcellszeles
I would like to update you on the bug 257810 for this crash issue. This problem has been fixed in upcoming 2020 R2 version. AIM doesn't crash while opening the project in this version.

SubscriberHello Naresh Patre ,
Â
It looks like this might be related to the geometry (many splines).
I have re-created everything from scratch, saved it, no errors and the AIM app is closing again.
When I try to run the journal file, it does not recreate everything, only until a point.
Â
I still have a version open and I do not close it until you can reply on this.
Is there a way to export the current building steps beside "save as" on the full project?
Â
Thank you,
Marcell

Ansys EmployeeHi marcellszeles
I don't think there is any other option to export the steps other than "save as". Did you try saving the project without solving and then opening it again? Did this also crash? Can you send the geometry file that you imported in this project?

SubscriberHi Naresh Patre
Â
I was able to manually rewrite the file and it quite opened without some settings, but after some work it was right. This is all happening, because of the "Mesh Update" prompts are also saved into the journal file.
Â
Meanwhile I have updated the geometry, removed some shared topology and it caused all the recorded faces to be re-numbered. For this reason the journal update command did not work and caused an error.
About the model. You can find it in the wbpz dp folder.
Â
Can you also quickly help me with a DL question? I have a laminar flow to be checked, but AIM is using LES and ke turbulency. Is there a way to have the flow recognized as laminar / any possible settings?
Â
Thank you,
Marcell

Ansys EmployeeHi marcellszeles There are no separate settings for laminar flow. You may want to check out the "Laminar Flow Through a Pipe" example mentioned in the Verification and Benchmark document.
